CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite you to submit a proposal to the 2017 Joint International Conference of SAPA (Seoul Association for Public Administration) and Thammsat University, Bangkok, Thailand. Individual, panel, roundtable and workshop proposals are welcoming on all topics in public administration, and we encourage submission from scholars and practitioners in East Asia region. To creating new public values for the future generations in East Asia, governments at all levels are being asked to collaborate with other governmental agencies as well as the business and nonprofit sectors. At the same time, unprecedented challenges and issues such as public-private collaboration beyond formal arrangements, publicly-funded services of nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, and sustainable development within new governance regime at the global level are prevailing among scholars and practitioners in public administration. SPAP and the Institute of East Asian Studies at Thammasat University are calling for this international conference under the theme: “New Public Values for Public Administration in East Asia: Creating Innovative Solutions of International Cooperation for Sustainable Future.” All submission should discuss the overall theme and concept of the papers and how it relates to the conference theme. Examples of related topics for the conference include but are not limited to the followings:

• The emerging challenges of public administration and international cooperation
  
• The role of energy diplomacy in international cooperation and development
  
• Environmental policy issues such as climate change management within and across national borders
• The public-private collaboration within new governance regime in East Asia
• The rise of an international nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations for sustainable growth
• The social responsibility of public cooperates of Korea in East AsiaRural development, local governance, and e-Government etc.
